Court dismisses Tissa Attanayaka’s bail application

The Colombo High Court today dismissed the bail application submitted by former United National Party (UNP) General Secretary Tissa Attanayaka.

Attanayake was on October 19?ordered to be remanded till December 5 by the Colombo High Court.

Attanayake was given notice to appear in court at the time to respond to allegations he forged documents ahead of the last Presidential elections.

When he appeared in court the High Court judge refused to grant Attanayake bail and?ordered that he be placed in remand till December.

Tissa Attanayaka had later submitted a bail application but it was rejected today.?(Colombo Gazette)
