Suspects arrested over businessman’s killing remanded

Eight suspects arrested over the murder of a businessman in Bambalapitiya have been remanded till September 15.

The suspects arrested over Sakeem Sulaiman’s murder were produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate today and remanded.

The businessman was abducted last month?for ransom and was found dead in Mawanella.

The abductors had demanded Rs. 20 million from the family of the businessman and his father had promised to pay the ransom.

However while investigations were ongoing the body was discovered in?Mawanella. The post-mortem revealed he died as a result of a blow to the head. (Colombo Gazette)

Foreigners who deposit over US$ 300,000 to get 10 year visa
