Lakshman Yapa appointed SLFP leader for Matara

Minister of State for Finance, Lakshman Yapa Abeywardana has been appointed to the post of leader for the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) for the Matara district.

He received his appointment letter from the President Maithripala Sirisena today at the President?s Office. (Colombo Gazette)

The United National Party (UNP) today called for early?Presidential elections.
