Namal teaching yoga to fellow inmates at remand prison

Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa, who was arrested yesterday, is teaching yoga to his fellow inmates at the Welikada remand prison, the joint opposition said today.

Joint opposition parliamentarian Dullas Alahapperuma told reporters today that Namal Rajapaksa was in good spirits.

He told reporters, after meeting the parliamentarian at the remand prison, that he was also giving physical fitness training to his fellow inmates.

Meanwhile?joint opposition parliamentarian Dinesh Gunawardena claimed?that the prison was informed to be prepared even before?Namal Rajapaksa was arrested.

He said that this was a blow to Sri Lanka’s judiciary as there was clearly political interference.

Namal Rajapaksa was arrested yesterday by the police Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID) and produced in court and remanded.

He was arrested over alleged financial fraud said to have been committed by him when his father Mahinda Rajapaksa was President. (Colombo Gazette)
