Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa says no one has been recruited to a new political party nor has the joint opposition formed such a party.
Speaking to reporters after visiting Parliamentarian Udaya Gamanpila at the Welikada remand prison today, Rajapaksa?denied claims that some members of the joint opposition are to join the Government.
When asked when the new political party of the joint opposition will be formed, he said the public will?need to wait and see.
He also said that the Government is taking political revenge on the opposition by arresting joint opposition members. (Colombo Gazette)
