Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara was in Jaffna today?where met police officers in the area and discussed law and order related issues.
Police headquarters said that 324 male and female Police officers representing various police divisions and ranks from Jaffna, Kilinochchi, Kankasanthurai, Mullaitivu, Mannar and Vavuniya took part in the discussion at the auditorium of the Jaffna District Secretariat.
The officers had the opportunity to convey matters directly to the Inspector General of Police and were able to find instant solutions, the Police headquarters said.
Jaffna District Secretary N. Wedanayagam and male and female police officers including the Officer in charge of the Jaffna Range, Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police W. S. U. Fernando, Officer in charge of the Vanni District Deputy Inspector General of Police Deshabandu Thennakoon and Officer in charge of the Jaffna Range, Deputy Inspector General of Police Sanjeewa Dharmarathna participated in the discussion.
