Transfer of top Navy officer in East not related to CM incident

The transfer of a top Navy officer from the Eastern province to Colombo is not related to the incident involving the Chief Minister of the Eastern Province?Nazeer Ahamed.

Navy Spokesman captain Akram Alavi told the Colombo Gazette the decision to transfer the Commanding officer – East of the Sri Lanka Navy was taken three weeks ago.

He said the transfer was announced today and was not linked to the?incident involving the Chief Minister of the Eastern Province and the Navy
