Former Parliamentarian Sajin Vass Gunawardena slammed National Freedom Front (NFF) leader Wimal Weerawansa and has threatened to expose some details on him.
Gunawardena said that?Weerawansa had accused him of attempting to bring supporters to attend the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) May Day rally.
The former Parliamentarian said that it is his duty to support the SLFP and take part in the SLFP May Day rally.
“I don’t need to get permission from Wimal Weerawansa for that,” he said.
He also backed current SLFP leader, President Maithripala Sirisena and said that he should be given room to take the party forward.
“Party leaders change. That is democracy,” he said.
Gunawardena, who was a strong supporter of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, also criticised the joint opposition saying it has no future.
He said that those in the?joint opposition are only focused on their future and not the future of the SLFP. (Colombo Gazette)
