Sri Lanka “deeply saddened” by loss of lives in Ecuador

The Government and people of Sri Lanka are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of many lives caused by the sudden earthquake in Ecuador on 17^th April, the Foreign Ministry said today.

The Government said it conveys heartfelt and profound condolences to the bereaved families of those who lost their lives.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Government and people of Ecuador, including the families of?victims?who grieve over this terrible tragedy, and those injured,” the Foreign Ministry added. (Colombo Gazette)
