Five Sri Lankan youth have been deported to Serbia from Romania after they entered the country illegally.
Immigration officials said that?eight foreign citizens originally from Sri Lanka, Iraq and Syria who were in?Romania illegally were?returned to Serbia under agreement between both countries.
The eight people were arrested in Romania on April 6 by border guards on the banks of the Timis river.
The group consisted of five Sri Lankans aged between 20 and 24, two men from Iraq and a Syrian national. (Colombo Gazette)
