Kerry notes past year’s accomplishments in Sri Lanka historic

US Secretary of State John Kerry says?the?past year’s accomplishments in Sri Lanka have been historic.
In a message to mark the traditional Sinhala and Tamil New Year, Kerry said that Sri Lanka has?demonstrated deep commitment for reconciliation, tolerance and peace.
“On behalf of President Obama and the American people, I join you in celebrating the Sri Lankan New Year.?The past year’s accomplishments have been historic, demonstrating the deep commitment of the Sri Lankan people for reconciliation, tolerance and peace,” Kerry said in his New Year message.
Kerry wished Sri Lanka for the New Year and for continued success as the country?moves ahead with the new constitution and further efforts to strengthen Sri Lanka’s democracy and prosperity. (Colombo Gazette)
