Phone calls from President’s house day Thajudeen was killed revealed

The Attorney General’s Department informed court today that telephone calls made from the President’s house the day rugger player Wasim Thajudeen was killed, have been revealed. Thajudeen was found dead on May 17, 2012 in Kirulapone in his car which had crashed into a wall. According to police reports at the time, the rugby player was driving home after attending a party when he lost control of the car and crashed into a wall on Park Road. The car had exploded instantly and burnt the victim.

UN refugee agency alarmed over incident at Colombo refugee shelter

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is alarmed and?concerned by yesterday?s incident at a refugee shelter housing mostly women and?children on the outskirts of Colombo.
