Prime Minister inspects Hambantota airport and port

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe today inspected the Hambantota airport and port and several other projects in the area.

Transport Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva and Ports and Shipping Minister Arjuna Ranatunga accompanied the Prime Minister during the inspection tour.

Both projects were termed as “white elephants” by the United National Party when it was in the opposition.

However now the?United National Party led Government has decided to develop the Hambantota airport and port. (Colombo Gazette)
