Duminda back in Parliament

Parliamentarian Duminda Silva returned to Parliament today, for the first time since the Mulleriyawa shooting incident in 2011 in which Presidential Advisor Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra was killed. Silva, who was also injured in the incident, was in April released on bail over the case. He was the main suspect in the shooting incident. War declared on dengue

The government has declared July 1?7 as a dengue eradication week around the island, the Ministry of Health said. According to the Health Ministry, the decision to declare the dengue eradication week was taken following meetings held with the relevant Ministries yesterday. The dengue eradication week will see all government institutions and Ministries following a strict program to clean dengue breeding grounds.
