No attempt to protect Hirunika says Government

HirunikaThe Government today insisted that there was no move to protect Parliamentarian Hirunika Premachandra in relation to the abduction and assault incident of a man recently.

Enterprise Development Minister Kabir Hashim said that the police have been given the freedom to investigate and implement the law on anyone accused in relation to the incident.

He said that the Government could have sent Premachandra to another country to protect her from the allegations she is facing since she is a member of the ruling party but no such thing has been done.

Kabir Hashim said that once the law takes its course the United National Party (UNP) will decide what action needs to be taken on her if she is found guilty.

A vehicle belonging to Hirunika Premachandra was seized by the police and eight people were arrested over the abduction incident.

The police said that the suspects were arrested after a youth claimed he was abducted by them in the vehicle which belonged to the MP in the Dematagoda area. (Colombo Gazette)

Kudu Duminda can recommend the best hospital in Singapore with his connections, it seems Singapore always willing to help the crooks, thugs and drug dealers from Sri Lanka and give safe passage at the same time been so tough on drug trafficking.

    NO politician is EVER…EVER well-meaning.

IF YOU believe that, Lankan Politicians are well-meaning then you are very naive.

Money, power, and ulterior motives are the ONLY things that drive a Politician to get out of bed each morning.
