Government to give priority to indigenous systems

The Government says it will give?priority to indigenous systems to conquer the international market.

President Maithripala Sirisena said that everyone must unite with a commitment to give the highest priority for indigenous systems to make Sri Lanka victorious.

The President further said that Sri Lanka?should always admire its heritage and indigenous systems to conquer the international market and?become a one of the greatest country in the world.

He made these observations participating in the opening ceremony of the newly built Ayurveda herbal products manufacturing centre of the Sri Lanka Ayurvedic Drugs Corporation today, the President’s media unit said.

President Sirisena said that when we speak about our proud culture the traditional medicine method has a significant place and he pledged to provide every possible facility to promote Ayurveda treatment in Sri Lanka.

Minister of Health, Nutrition and?Indigenous Medicine- Rajitha Senaratne, Chief Minister of the Western Province- Isura Devapriya, Chathura Senaratne-MP and others participated at this occasion. (Colombo Gazette)
