Sri Lankan warships at India’s Cochin Port

Sri Lankan naval ships Samudura and Nandimithra are on a three-day visit to Kochi till December 24.

The commanding officers of the vessels, Captain P.D.S. Dias and Captain A.M.S. Senavirathna, together with Captain W.H.U. Prasanna Hewage, Sri Lanka?s resident Defence Attach? in New Delhi, called on Rear Admiral R.B. Pandit, Chief of Staff of the Southern Naval Command yesterday, The Hindu newspaper reported.

A Defence release said that various professional activities would be conducted between both navies during the port?of?call of the vessels.

A ship visit exchange by specialist officers and men of both navies has also been?lined up.?Sri Lankan Navy personnel will also visit the training facilities at the Southern Naval Command. The vessels will depart for Colombo on December 24.
