US envoy and Ranawaka discuss new constitution

US Ambassador Atul Keshap met the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development Champika Ranawaka today and discussed several matters including?progress on the development of a new constitution.

The US Embassy in Colombo said that Ambassador Keshap and Minister Ranawaka also discussed future infrastructure projects essential to Sri Lanka’s prosperity, energy production and environmental protection.

Ambassador Keshap stressed ?the United States supports the Sri Lankan voters? vision of a unified, peaceful, prosperous, and reconciled Sri Lanka with equal opportunity and human rights for all, regardless of ethnicity or religion.? (Colombo Gazette)
