Gayoom meets Maithripala on Emirates flight

Former Maldives President and President of the Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM),?Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, met President Maithripala Sirisena while the President was on his way to Rome.

The meeting took place onboard the Emirates flight President Maithripala Sirisena was travelling in to Rome.

“It was such a privilege to meet HE president of Sri Lanka @MaithripalaS on board a Dubai- bound flight,”?Gayoom tweeted.

He also tweeted an image of him greeting?President Maithripala Sirisena when the two met in the flight. (Colombo Gazette)
