Ranil to brief Parliament on talks with trade unions

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is to brief Parliament tomorrow on the talks he had with trade unions on the 2016 budget.

The Prime Minister’s office said that?Wickremesinghe will make a special statement in Parliament tomorrow on the talks he had with the trade unions yesterday and today.

Some trade unions have already said that the talks had not been positive and as a result they will go on strike on Tuesday.

Among the trade unions scheduled to strike are those affiliated to the train, health and electricity board. (Colombo Gazette)
