Eastern University students are threatening to stage a protest against the suspension of a?student of the?Faculty of Commerce and Management without a proper inquiry.
The student had been reportedly unfairly suspended for two weeks and the?Eastern University students’ union?says he is now unable to stay at the university hostel.
The?Eastern University students’ union has requested the administration of the university to conduct a proper injury and take reasonable action with regards to the suspension of the student.
The?Eastern University students’ union said it is also prepared to have discussions with the relevant authorities over the incident.
The union warned that it will stage a protest if the issue is not addressed soon. (Colombo Gazette)
