An accident between a passenger bus and a lorry injured 35 people and of them 25 were admitted to the Dambulla hospital.
The accident took place at Inamalluwa in Dambulla early this morning. The passenger bus was heading to Colombo from Pollonaruwa when it crashed into the lorry transporting cement.
The bus driver had claimed that his vehicle had crashed into the rear end of the lorry which was parked on the road without the rear lights on.
However the driver of the lorry has told the police that he was turning his vehicle onto the main road?when the bus crashed into the rear end.
The Sigiriya police are conducting investigations. (Colombo Gazette)
