Magistrate wants blood samples taken from suspects

The Kayts Magistrate today?issued instructions for blood samples to be taken from the nine suspects who are in custody over the murder of Jaffna student Vidya Sivaloganathan.

The Magistrate gave the order when the suspects were produced in court today.

Vidya Sivaloganathan was found raped and murdered in May this year and nine suspects were later arrested.

One of the suspects, who was among the nine produced in court today, claimed that he was forced by the police to accept involvement in the murder. (Colombo Gazette)
