Police investigate clash in Kattankudy, 3 arrested

The police are investigating a clash which broke out between supporters of two political parties in which at least three people were injured.

Police media spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekera said that the police had received three complaints with regards to the incident.

One complaint involved an attack on a shop which caused damages to the glass windows and other property.

The police spokesman said that the other two complaints involved threats and an assault on three people.

He said that the three people who were injured have been admitted to the Batticaloa hospital. He said that three people have been arrested and investigations are underway to arrest more suspects. (Colombo Gazette)
