UNP takes Pollonaruwa with over 50% of votes

The United National Party (UNP) got the most number of votes in the Pollonaruwa District and secured 3 seats.

The UNP got?118,845 votes (50.26%) while the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) got?103,172 votes and secured 2 seats.

Keheliya Rambukwella remanded further

Former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella was ordered to be remanded further by court over the import of substandard human immunoglobulin vials. Rambukwella, former Health Ministry Secretary Janaka Chandragupta and 5 others were ordered to be remanded further until 14th March.
