Government condoles with China over Tianjin deaths

The Government today expressed its heartfelt condolences to the Government and the people of the People?s Republic of China over the deadly explosions that occurred in a warehouse?in the coastal city of Tianjin, resulting in the death and injury of several hundreds of people.

“In this time of grief, the thoughts and prayers of the Sri Lankan people are with the victims and the families of those affected by this disaster,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The statement said that the Government of Sri Lanka reiterates its solidarity and support with the Government and the people of?China, and hope for a speedy recovery from this tragedy. (Colombo Gazette)
