At least 30 injured after 2 passenger buses collide

At least 30 people were injured when two passenger buses collided in Gonahena?this?morning, the police said.

Police Media Spokesperson ASP Ruwan Gunasekara said?that out of those injured, three were?in critical condition and had been transferred to the Colombo National Hospital.

The remaining 27 injured had been admitted to the Horana Hospital by the local residents.

Police have arrested the driver of one of the buses who had been responsible for the accident.
Further investigations have been launched into the incident.

Catholics to resume mass two weeks after attacks

Kotte Municipal Council member and brother arrested

A Kotte Municipal Council member and his brother have been arrested, the Police said. The Police said that Kotte Municipal Council member H.M. Ali Usman and his brother Raja Mohideen Sultan were arrested with a CD, swords and a machete knife. Investigations are underway.
