Tiran will not be arrested till case in heard

The Attorney General (AG) today assured court that Parliamentarian Tiran Alles will not be arrested till the case over allegations against him is heard.

Alles has been accused over alleged?fraud at the Reconstruction and Development Agency (RADA) which was formed following the 2004 tsunami.

The MP had filed a petition against moves to arrest him in connection to the case and the AG informed the Supreme Court today that he will not be arrested till the case is heard.

Accordingly the Supreme Court informed the police not to arrest the MP till the case is heard on June 29.?(Colombo Gazette)
