CID issues notice to MP Namal Rajapaksa

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has issued notice on member of parliament Namal Rajapaksa to be present this week to record a statement.

Rajapaksa tweeted saying that he?received notice today to be present at the CID on June 12 to record a statement.

However he says the notice does not say what he is going to be questioned over by the CID.

Recently Namal’s mother, former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa was questioned by the police Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID).

Sri Lankan arrested in Bengaluru with Indian passport

Immigration officials in Bengaluru have arrested a 35-year-old Sri Lankan national who was trying to board a flight to Hungary from Kempegowda International Airport with an Indian passport, The Hindu newspaper reported. Price of Petrol 92 Octane increased

The Price of Petrol 92 Octane has been increased by Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CEYPETCO) and Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC). CEYPETCO said the price of Petrol 92 Octane has been increased by Rs 3.00 per litre LIOC said it has increased the price of Petrol 92 Octane by Rs 7.00 per litre. The price of the other three fuel categories will not be increased. The revision is part of the monthly review under the fuel price formula. (Colombo Gazette)
