Sivappu is yet another film on the Tamils from Sri Lanka, but director Sathysiva clarifies that not a single scene was shot in the island country.
He says the film revolves around the Tamil refugees who came to the southern parts of India, following the strife in Sri Lanka.
“Rupa Manjari plays a refugee who, along with a group of people like her, plans to migrate. Meanwhile, she falls in love with a boy, played by Navin Chandra. Now, more problems arise and how they surmount these forms the plot,” says Sathysiva. Sivapppu is scheduled to release in May. (Courtesy The Hindu)
