Illegal asylum seekers arrested

The Chilaw police arrested a group of people who were preparing to head to Australia by boat illegally, the police media unit said today.
According to the police there were 28 men, four women and 9 children.
The police said that the group had been arrested this morning at Muneswaram as they were preparing to head to Australia.
They are all residents of Gurunagar in Jaffna, the police media unit said.
