A group of armed robbers who forced employees of a financial institution in Gampaha into a room and stole jewellery and cash have been caught on CCTV cameras installed in the institution.
The police media unit released the CCTV images of the robber and sought public assistance which could lead to their arrest.
According to the police, the men had got away with jewellery worth over Rs. 168, 80, 600.00 and Rs. 1,179,800.00 in cash.
The police said that so far the robbers seen on CCTV have not been identified and so public assistance was needed.
The police also offered a reward of Rs. 1 million for information which could lead to the arrest of the suspects. (Colombo Gazette)
