BBS denies hand in Weliweriya

Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) had no hand in the recent clashes in Weliweriya, a BBS statement made public on its website said today.
The BBS says there is a conspiracy to tarnish the image of the Sri Lankan Government, Ministry of Defence and the Security Forces.
There were media reports today quoting Secretary General of Bodu Bala Sena, the venerable Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thero as saying that he had sent troops to Weliweriya.
?Bodu Bala Sena would like to highlight that this news is a result of the conspiracy to tarnish the image of the Sri Lankan Government, Ministry of Defence and the Security Forces locally and internationally,? the BBS statement said. (Colombo Gazette)
