Court orders release of ship

The Colombo Magistrate today ordered the release of a Vietnamese ship which was detained following a petition filed by Lanka Indian Oil Corporation (LIOC). The Magistrate ordered the release of the ship after the insurance company had given a bond to court. The Colombo High Court ordered the detention of ‘Vina Lion’s Glory’ which had caused a loss of USD 2.5 million to the Indian Oil Company’s Lanka entity. HRW calls for probe on Karuna
