Bahrain is keen to boost ties with Sri Lanka, the?Bahrain News Agency reported following a meeting between the?Bahrain Government spokesperson and Sri Lanka’s new envoy to the country.
Bahrain?Minister of State for Information Affairs and the Government?s Official Spokesperson Samira Ibrahim bin Rajab met the Sri Lankan Ambassador to Bahrain?Anura Mudiyanselage Rajakaruna.
The Bahrain?minister stressed Bahrain?s keenness on promoting bilateral relations and bolstering cooperation with the Republic of Sri Lanka for the sake of the two friendly countries and peoples.
She outlined the opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the sectors the media, human resources, trade exchanges, tourism and joint investment ventures, wishing the Sri Lankan ambassador success in his diplomatic duties.
Ambassador Anura Mudiyanselage Rajakuruna hailed the warm hospitality, expressing keenness on promoting bilateral relations, especially after the opening of his country?s embassy in Bahrain last month.
He lauded Bahrain?s democratic process and the urban development strides in all sectors.
