Bogambara prison to shift soon

The Bogambara prison in Kandy will be shifted to a new location soon, the President’s office said today.
Discussions on shifting the prison were held at Temple Trees today between President Mahinda Rajapaksa and the relevant officials.
Shifting the prison is part of the development plans for the Kandy city, the President’s office added.
Minister of Rehabilitation and Prison Reforms?Chandrasiri Gajadeera and Central Province Chief Minister Sarath Ekanayake were among those who attended the discussion with the President today. (Colombo Gazette)
