Abductor arrested in Kelaniya

A man who had abducted a person for ransom at?gunpoint has been arrested from Kelaniya, the police media unit said today.
The police said that the man had abducted a person in Peliyagoda and had?received?Rs. 800,000 as part of the ransom.
The victim is a resident of Colombo 14 and he had been abducted last month, the police media unit said.
Following investigations carried out by the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) the suspect was arrested yesterday.
The 27 year old suspect is a resident of Dankotuwa and was staying in Kelaniya at the time of the arrest.
