Parliamentarian Duminda Silva left the Nawaloka hospital this morning and was scheduled to meet President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Silva was?receiving?treatment in hospital for injuries suffered during the Bharatha Lakshman shooting incident.
Silva was this week released on bail in the Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra murder case.
Four others were also granted bail by the Colombo High Court in relation to the case.
Silva returned to the island from Singapore last month after receiving?treatment for the injuries he suffered during the shooting incident in 2011 in which presidential?adviser Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra was killed.
Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra was killed in the shooting incident in October 2011 and Silva was seen as one of the main suspects in the murder.
Hirunika Premachandra, the daughter of late government member Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra, had told the Colombo Gazette last month that she feared for her life as the case involving Duminda Silva gathered steam.
Premachandra also raised hope that justice will finally be meted out against her father?s killers.?(Colombo Gazette)
