Sarath Manamendra arrested

Leader of the New Sihala Urumaya Sarath Manamendra was arrested by the Welikada police this afternoon.
He was arrested for failing to appear in court over a domestic issue, the police said.
Manamendra said that he was arrested by the Welikada police and is scheduled to be produced in court.

Ten convicts sentenced to death over 1998 murder
