Power cuts not likely on April 13, 14

Power cuts are not likely on April 13, 14 when Sri Lanka celebrates its traditional Sinhala and Tamil New Year. The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) said that there is sufficient fuel for power generation at present. As a result the PUCSL said that the duration of the power cuts will be reduced during the upcoming holidays. The PUCSL also said that power cuts will not likely be enforced during the traditional Sinhala and Tamil New Year on April 13 and 14. (Colombo Gazette)

Ranjith Siyambalapitiya decides to remain as Deputy Speaker
