Probe on meteorite particles which fell in Kotte

An investigation is underway over particles of a meteorite which fell on a house near parliament, officials said today.
The particles had fallen in the garden near the house and scientists believe that it was part of a?meteorite.
An official from the?Disaster Management Center (DMC) also confirmed reports of?meteorite?particles falling near the house.
Dr. Chandana Jayaratne, Senior Lecturer in Physics at the University of Colombo and Consultant of Astronomy and Space Applications at the Arthur C. Clarke Center said that more tests need to be carried out on the particles.
He inspected the particles this morning and said a report will be compiled on the findings.?(Colombo Gazette)

Over 190 coronavirus patients detected in Borella

Over 190 coronavirus patients were detected from Borella in Colombo within the last 24 hours ending at 06.00 a.m today.
