Special envoy to the President on Human Rights, Minister Mahinda Samarasingha will lead the Sri Lankan delegation to the UN Human Rights Council sessions in Geneva, late next month, Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said today.
Rambukwella said this while addressing the weekly cabinet press briefing at the Government Information Department.
He also said that the government is confident about facing any pressure at the UN Human Rights Council session.
“We are content with what we have been doing so far,” the Minister said.
The United States has already said it will submit a procedural resolution at the session. (COLOMBO GAZETTE)
