DJ ordered in court for harassing singer

A DJ of a popular radio station operating from the World Trade Center has been ordered to appear in court over harassment charges.

The order was issued by the Fort Magistrate yesterday following a complaint lodged by singer Umariya Singhawansa.

According to the complaint lodged with the police, the radio DJ identified as Ramsy Jayanoor, had attempted to drag Singhawansa away when she was heading towards her car near the World Trade Center.

Umariya is a vocalist attached to the outfit headed by popular singers Bathiya and Santhosh.

The Fort Magistrate ordered Jayanoor to appear in court on December 14 to face the charges raised against him.
