Dayasiri appears before the CID over funds received from Arjun

Former Sports Minister?Dayasiri Jayasekara appeared before the?Criminal Investigations Department (CID) today to make a statement over the funds he had received from?Perpetual Treasuries Limited (PTL) owned by Arjun Aloysius. He was questioned for over five hours by the CID before being allowed to leave. Jayasekara had reportedly received the funds from a company registered under?Aloysius in 2015. Talawakelle-Lindula Urban Council chairman further remanded

The chairman of the Talawakelle-Lindula Urban Council and seven others who had been arrested and remanded for kidnapping a child have been ordered to be further remanded. The five year old girl had reportedly been abducted for ransom in 2017. The Nuwara Eliya Magistrate?s Court today ordered that the suspects be further remanded till June 18.
