No shortage of petrol

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) today insisted that there is no shortage of petrol.
A statement by the CPC said that rumors to the effect that there is a shortage of petrol are baseless.
The CPC says while such rumors are unfounded there is also no shortage in other forms of oil distributed by the state entity.
A vessel with 35,000 MT of fuel was scheduled to arrive at the Colombo Port this afternoon, the CPC said.
The rumors of a shortage of fuel surfaced following reports of contaminated diesel being distributed to the market recently. (Colombo Gazette)
