Mother and three children found dead after taking poison

A mother and her three children were found dead in Jaffna after they had reportedly consumed poison. The mother had reportedly given the children food mixed with poison. The children were two young boys and a girl. The Jaffna media reported that the mother gave the children poison and later committed suicide over a financial issue. US aircraft carrier ‘USS Nimitz’ to arrive in Sri Lanka

The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group is scheduled to arrive in Colombo, Sri Lanka for a planned port visit on October 28.
